A film from 80s New York. Featuring the Artist Jean Michel Basquiat who has been a major influence on we walk prints.
I like the way he fused street art with a primitive style of painting. His art refelected what he saw in a context of modern history. With “we walk” like to use simple graphic often in white. I use a mix of paint to sit on the garments, kinda like slapped on with a brush. Printed by hand each print has its own unique texture.
I like the way film contextlises generations.. thats why “we walks” prints tell a story of travel, people and experiences of our generation now.
